Originally founded in 1972, Stone Mountain Animal Hospital was purchased by Dr. Jeff Brown in 1985. He built their second location, Sugarloaf Animal Hospital, in 1997.

After earning his bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado, Dr. Brown returned to his home state to attend the University of Georgia where he received his DVM degree in 1982. He has a special interest in orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Brown works alongside Drs. Nicole Aponte, Lisa Rollins, and Jessie Nelson. Dr. Aponte is a graduate of Tuskegee University, and Dr. Nelson graduated from Auburn University. Like Dr. Brown, Dr. Rollins received her DVM degree from the University of Georgia.

The doctors are supported by their hospital manager, Jennifer Brock, and two hardworking teams of veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and receptionists.

Collectively, the hospitals have been providing quality care to cats and dogs for over four decades. They offer their clients a variety of services, ranging from wellness exams and vaccines to dentistry and surgery.

We are so grateful to have partnered with such a well-loved practice. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Brown and his team, as well as their clients and patients, to the VetCor family!
