Veterinary Receptionist Week

Veterinary Receptionist Week

May 2, 2023

Our hospitals took Veterinary Receptionist Week to the next level this year. It is heart warming to see the dedication and compassion of our receptionists across the country. As the first and last point of contact for their clients, their influence is significant and they carry out their responsibilities with great care. As Lake Crest Anima Clinic put it, “Their job is truly one of the most difficult positions within the hospital, and we couldn’t do what we do without them.”

Jennifer shared her favorite part the job as a receptionist at Towne South Animal Hospital. “I love greeting the clients and their animals when they first arrive at the clinic. I love to hear all the stories that owners have of their babies and watch them grow up. I strive to make every patient feel special and loved as soon as they walk through the doors. I have always loved cats, but since working here I have grown to love and appreciate them even more!” The team feels so lucky to have her.

Some of our hospitals have receptionist teams to help share the work. Horton Animal Hospital Northeast put down in words just how much they appreciate their receptionists. “They are the ones that keep the hospital flowing in an organized manner and keep everything on task. Our outstanding receptionists are the ones you talk to over the phone and the first smiling faces you see when you enter the hospital. They can answer almost every question that is thrown their way. They always go over and beyond their call of duty to insure that our patients are taken care of.” They encouraged their clients to join in on the appreciation next time they come in for a visit.
