Position Details

  • Role: Veterinary Technician
  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: Negotiable and based on experience & licensure
  • Schedule: Four x 10-hour shifts. One weekend day is required.
  • Sign-on Bonus: Credentialed Veterinary Technicians are eligible for signing bonus

PetVet Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgery Technician to join our growing, multi-doctor practice. We are a fast-paced, full-service small animal hospital where teamwork, positivity, and high-quality patient care come first.   • 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts
  • Only one weekend day required

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare patients for surgery, including pre-anesthetic protocols and catheter placement
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals throughout surgical procedures
  • Assist veterinarians during surgery and dental procedures
  • Provide post-operative care and ensure smooth recovery for patients
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure surgical suite readiness
  • Accurately document treatments and communicate with the care team

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of surgery experience required
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician in good standing (preferred)
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and calm under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
  • Passion for patient care and safety
  • Flexibility and dependability, with availability for evenings and weekends
