  • Role: Veterinary Technician
  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
  • Schedule: M-F, No weekends, 10 hr shifts

All Creatures Veterinary Clinic is a compassionate, community-focused practice dedicated to providing high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care for pets of all shapes and sizes. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our growing team.

 

The Veterinary Technician plays an essential role in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring smooth daily operations within the clinic. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, compassionate, and comfortable working with a variety of species. Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent patient care are essential.

 

Responsibilities

 

Patient Care & Technical Skills:

  • Assist veterinarians in examinations, medical procedures, and surgical operations.
  • Perform routine animal care, including restraint, sample collection, vaccinations, nail trims, and wound care.
  • Monitor anesthesia, recover patients, and maintain accurate anesthesia records.
  • Administer medications (oral, injectable, topical) as directed.
  • Conduct laboratory tests (blood, urine, fecal, cytology) and operate diagnostic equipment.
  • Take digital radiographs and ensure safe handling practices.

Client Service:

  • Communicate clearly with clients regarding patient care, discharge instructions, and preventive health recommendations.
  • Provide compassionate support during challenging situations.
  • Hospital Operations
  • Maintain clean and organized treatment, surgery, and exam areas.
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies.
  • Accurately document patient records in the practice management system.
  • Ensure proper sanitation and compliance with safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Certified/Registered/Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Previous clinical veterinary experience required (1+ years preferred).
  • Strong animal-handling and restraint skills across a variety of species.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to high-quality animal care.
