Position Details

• Role: Veterinary Receptionist
• Status: Part-time
• Salary: Negotiable and based on experience 
• Schedule: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

Primary Pet Care is seeking a friendly, dependable part-time receptionist to join our small animal veterinary team in Stow, Ohio. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with both people and pets and can thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and their pets in a warm, professional manner
• Answer multi-line phones, direct calls, and provide basic information
• Schedule appointments and help manage daily appointment flow
• Check patients in and out, including processing payments
• Maintain accurate client and patient records
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians and technicians to support smooth clinic operations
• Assist with prescription refill requests and routine client follow-up
• Keep the reception and waiting areas clean, organized, and welcoming

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital strongly preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable interacting with clients, pets, and team members
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn practice management software
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional in emotional or stressful situations
• Team-oriented attitude with a positive, helpful approach
