What You’ll Do

  • Greet clients and patients while maintaining a welcoming reception area
  • Answer multi-line phone systems and schedule appointments
  • Check clients in and out while verifying patient and client information
  • Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
  • Maintain and update patient records within practice management software
  • Prepare and organize medical records, lab reports, and vaccination certificates
  • Manage appointment reminders, confirmations, cancellations, and follow-up communications
  • Coordinate patient admissions and discharge paperwork
  • Assist with inventory management and front desk supply ordering
  • Support communication between clients, technicians, and veterinarians
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout reception and waiting areas
  • Perform general administrative duties including faxing, emailing, and filing

What Our Veterinary Receptionists Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous veterinary or medical office experience preferred
  • Experience with practice management software and Microsoft Office programs preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Comfort interacting with pets and their owners
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations
