Wright’s Corners Animal Care Center is Hiring a Veterinary Receptionist!

Position Details

• Role: Veterinary Receptionist
• Status: Full-time
• Salary: $16.50 per hour
• Schedule: 8 am-5 pm Monday-Friday, alternating Saturdays from 8 am-12 pm with a weekday off

Wright’s Corners Animal Care Center is looking for an established veterinary receptionist to add to our team of compassionate professionals who aim to provide high-quality veterinary care.

Ever wonder what it would be like to work in the vet field and still have a life? Well, at Wright’s Corners Animal Care Center, we don't work nights or holidays, and our 8am-12pm shifts on Saturdays are rotated through, so we have most weekends off! 

Duties include:

• Assisting clients in person, over the phone, and via email by scheduling appointments and answering questions.
• Contributing to a great visit, checking clients in when they arrive, and following internal processes each time.
• Checking clients out when their appointment is over, making sure they have follow-up care scheduled when needed, and collecting payment for their pet’s visit.
• Making sure to carefully follow practice policies and procedures designed to WOW pet parents with our high-quality and compassionate care.
• Assisting your team members with a variety of general duties, such as helping to keep the reception area neat and tidy, drafting memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents.
• Sharing your unique gifts and talents with the team by suggesting new ideas or ways we can show how passionate we are about helping pets live long, healthy lives!

What you should bring to the team:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a client-facing role providing professional customer service in person and over the phone. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must!
• Superior relationship-building skills. Are you great at remembering the small things clients share and then enjoy asking them about it the next time they come in?
• Must be tech savvy with the ability to learn new software and enter data with accuracy and consistency.
• Dependability. Clients count on us to be there for their furry (and not so furry) family members.
• Prior veterinary experience is not required, but a love for animals and a sincere interest in the animal care field are essential!
