Position Details

Role: Experienced Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full-time (34–40 hours per week)
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: Four 8:45 AM–6:00 PM shifts per week, one Saturday per month (8:45 AM–12:00 PM), and no major holidays

Our Veterinary Assistants play an essential role in delivering exceptional patient care while helping our hospital run efficiently each day. Whether you're assisting during procedures, supporting diagnostics, or educating clients, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of pets and the people who love them.

What You'll Do

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
  • Safely and compassionately handle and restrain patients
  • Prepare and administer medications under veterinary supervision
  • Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house laboratory procedures
  • Educate clients on preventative care, nutrition, hygiene, and treatment plans
  • Maintain a clean, organized hospital, including treatment areas and kennels
  • Schedule appointments, assist clients, and process payments as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and support daily hospital operations

What Our Veterinary Assistants Bring

  • At least one year of veterinary clinic experience required
  • Compassionate animal handling and restraint skills
  • Excellent communication and client service abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer and telephone proficiency
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position
  • Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
