The Animal Doctor Veterinary Hospital in Ventura, California is seeking a full-time
Associate Veterinarian to join our team. We are proud of our longstanding AAHA accreditation and our commitment to providing exceptional veterinary care.
Our practice philosophy is simple: we offer each of our patients no less than what we
would do for our own loved ones. We are looking for an associate to help us continue to grow the practice and deliver top-notch medical care and client service.
Schedule and team
• Four ten-hour shifts per week. No weekends.
• You will work alongside a second experienced veterinarian for collaboration and collegiality.
• Monthly staff meetings, held in the morning.
• No on-call and no after-hours responsibilities.
• Newer graduates welcome with a minimum of one year of experience.
Caseload
General small animal practice. Two excellent specialty hospitals in Ventura and several
others nearby give us established referral and consultation relationships for complex cases and patients requiring intensive care.
Our facility
• Diagnostics: dental digital radiography; digital radiography with board-certified review of
studies; Mindray ultrasound; IDEXX CBC, chemistry, electrolyte, PT/PTT and T4 analyzers for in-house urgent care.
• Surgical and anesthetic: dedicated surgery suite; anesthetic monitoring with ECG, Doppler, capnography, oxygen and Vetcorder; Hot Dog warming blankets; IV fluid pumps including syringe pump.
• Facility: heated cages, two wet tables in treatment, isolation area, three exam rooms, pharmacy, laboratory, staff kitchen, and an enclosed outdoor patio for staff and clients.
Our hospital is peaceful and serene rather than clinical, and we receive frequent compliments on it. Our support team is exceptional, and our hospital manager keeps the working environment in excellent shape.
Compensation and benefits
• ProSal compensation model with a base salary of $150,000–$175,000, DOE
• Production bonus with no negative accrual
• $25,000 sign-on bonus

I would highly recommend anyone to work for a Vetcor clinic because of all the available resources they offer to their employees!
