Middleton Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our team as either an Associate Veterinarian or Chief of Staff. Whether you're looking to continue practicing exceptional medicine as an associate, step into leadership immediately, or grow into a leadership role over time, we offer the flexibility, support, and resources to help you build the career you envision.
 
For veterinarians seeking additional variety, there is also an optional opportunity to split time between Middleton Veterinary Hospital and nearby Spring Harbor Animal Hospital in Madison. Prefer to practice exclusively at Middleton? That's absolutely an option, too.

Leadership Opportunity

  • Joining as an Associate Veterinarian
  • Stepping directly into a Chief of Staff role
  • Starting as an Associate and growing into leadership
Doctors interested in leadership will have access to our leadership training program and will partner closely with our highly experienced Hospital Manager, a CVT with more than 12 years of leadership experience.
 
Practice Highlights
  • Full-time opportunity with flexible scheduling options
  • Optional split schedule between Middleton Veterinary Hospital and Spring Harbor Animal Hospital
  • Gold Certified Feline Friendly Practice
  • Team members certified in Low Stress Handling techniques
  • Approximately 12-15 appointments per doctor per day
  • Appointment lengths designed to support high-quality medicine:
    • New patient/new client appointments: 40 minutes
    • Wellness appointments: 30 minutes
    • Sick appointments: 40 minutes
    • Recheck appointments: 20 minutes
  • Dedicated surgery time available, with doctors performing surgery typically scheduled for 1-2 surgery days per week
  • Strong support staff model with one dedicated technician plus additional technical support for each doctor

We continue to invest in our hospital, with recent updates to our canine ward and exciting renovations planned for our treatment areas, surgery suite, feline ward, dental suite, and additional hospital spaces.

  • We're seeking a veterinarian who values collaboration, compassionate medicine, and strong client relationships.
  • A commitment to performing surgery is required for this role, with doctors typically scheduling 1-2 dedicated surgery days each week.
