About the Role:
Animal Hospital of Gordon County is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our busy, established practice in Calhoun, GA. This is a great opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys a steady caseload, a supportive team, and the close-knit feel of a smaller practice.
Our hospital primarily sees small animals, with approximately 10% exotic cases, and is equipped with ultrasound and dental X-ray. The practice includes two exam rooms, a surgical suite, boarding kennels, and an open treatment area. Our treatment and lab spaces were recently remodeled with updated wet tables, improved lighting, and a more open, functional layout.
We pride ourselves on our family-oriented culture and long-tenured team, with very little employee turnover. Doctors are well supported with approximately two technicians per DVM, allowing them to focus on providing quality care and building strong relationships with clients and their pets.
What You Can Expect
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced veterinarian who is comfortable managing a busy caseload and enjoys working collaboratively with a well-established support team. The ideal candidate values a family-style practice environment, strong client relationships, and being part of a team that has worked together for years.
Ready to join an established practice with a loyal team, strong support, and no on-call responsibilities? We'd love to hear from you!

I would highly recommend anyone to work for a Vetcor clinic because of all the available resources they offer to their employees! These resources vary from continuing education to the importance of mental health and not burning out. Stonebridge has been one of the best places I have worked and has done nothing but help me pursue my goal of becoming an LVT.

There are programs including VetLife Days and Lend-a-Hand that allow you to spend time at other clinics. I have met some wonderful colleagues this way and have also been able to expand my leadership skills within Vetcor. I actually learned that I love teaching and supporting other veterinarians, especially new graduates. I love soft tissue surgery, so to be able to pass on that knowledge and skill set to new grads, giving them the confidence and skills they need to excel, has been very rewarding. It has been an amazing journey with Vetcor so far and I am excited to continue to be part of this amazing group.

The mentorship and advice from the Vetcor Chief of Staff Advisors have helped me become a better veterinarian and surgeon. They have filled me with confidence in order to become a better leader. Vetcor has been a great corporation to work for.
