About the Role

Pets Best Friend Veterinary Hospital, a well-established and respected small animal practice in Levittown, PA is seeking a Hospital Manager to lead our dedicated team and oversee the daily operations of our growing practice.

 

As the Hospital Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital. This unique position combines collaborative, on-the-floor duties as a veterinary technician with administrative and business management responsibilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the hospital to ensure efficiency and a positive client experience
  • Assist the medical team with hands-on technician duties to support patient care and ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Oversee the financial health of the practice, including managing budgets, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and implementing strategies for business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and hospital protocols
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
  • Support staff training, performance evaluations, and professional growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in veterinary medicine as a veterinary technician or similar role, with a solid understanding of hospital operations.
  • Experience with practice management systems (e.g., Avimark, Cornerstone, ezyVet)
  • Proven leadership and management experience, ideally within a veterinary or healthcare setting.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgets, KPIs, and business growth strategies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster a positive and engaging work environment.
  • Commitment to providing top-tier client service and veterinary care.

Requirements:

  • This position requires a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week.
  • As our hospital continues to grow, operating hours may change. Flexibility is essential, and evening and weekend availability is required.
