World Veterinary Day 2025

World Veterinary Day 2025
Teaming up across hospitals, communities, and the world

April 25, 2025

In honor of World Veterinary Day 2025, themed "Animal Health Takes a Team," peek into the dynamic world of veterinary teamwork at Vetcor. From the daily hustle and bustle in our clinics to the mission-driven adventures in animal health projects, our team's dedication and cooperation make it all possible. Whether it's a nail trim or a community support project, every task is a team effort. Join us in celebrating the magic of teamwork that keeps our animals healthy and happy, no matter the size of the task at hand.

Hospital Teamwork

Thinking as a team allows our hospitals to provide the highest quality care to their patients every day. A nail trim is handled with the utmost care, as seen here at Heartland Niagara Animal Hospital. Heartland Niagara Animal HospitalEvery person involved in this task ensures each patient is in the most comfortable and safe position, stays calm and confident, and shows empathy by giving treats and praise during and after the trim. By preparing well and working together, our veterinary teams make nail trims as stress-free as possible for our animal patients. Together, we pull out all the stops to make every nail trim a positive experience!

Community Collaboration

North Shore Veterinary Clinic and Aloha Affordable Veterinary Services work alongside Mission Aloha Foundation, Aloha Animal Outreach, and Hawaii Dog Foundation to serve their community beyond regular hours. North Shore Veterinary Clinic Aloha Affordable Veterinary ServicesThey host at least 12 spay and neuter events annually, each averaging 75 to 100 animals. Since April of last year, they have fixed 1,000 animals for no-income to low-income community members. Volunteers include CSRs, managers, licensed technicians, veterinary assistants, and vets, often joined by their family members, church groups, or even military units.

Cross Continental Partnership

At the end of 2024, Vetcor team members, including veterinarians, technicians, and veterinary assistants, traveled to East Africa to support Rabies Free Africa's mission to eliminate rabies and reduce human suffering in Tanzania. Together with Rabies Free Africa and Washington State University, we vaccinated 1,250 dogs and cats, significantly contributing to the elimination of rabies in the region. This trip reinforced our commitment to making a meaningful difference and highlighted the power of collaboration and teamwork. Read more about our partnership with Rabies Free Africa and the other ways we are helping to prevent rabies in North America. We look forward to adding to the number of dogs and cats treated during our next trip in June 2025.
