Recognizing Vet Assistants and Celebrating Valentine’s Day

Recognizing Vet Assistants and Celebrating Valentine’s Day

February 20, 2023

It has been a busy February for our hospitals. Not only did they recognize their vet assistants during Veterinary Assistant Appreciation Week, but they enjoyed fun treats and photo ops for Valentine's day.

Woodside Animal HospitalWoodside Animal Hospital - Port Orchard, Washington
Dani is one member of the veterinary assistant team at Woodside Animal Hospital. Born in South Carolina, she has called Washington home since she was young. Fun fact, she earned her first degree before graduating high school! Starting as a kennel attendant at Woodside, she quickly became a veterinary assistant and is now going to school to become a veterinarian.

Carey’s Pet HospitalCarey’s Pet Hospital - Swansea, Illinois
The team at Carey’s Pet Hospital is very proud of their vet assistant, Hannah, who just graduated from Penn Foster. They are also excited for all that is to come for her as she studies to take her national licensing exam to become a certified veterinary technician. All her four-legged friends are cheering her on, too!

Indian Walk Veterinary CenterIndian Walk Veterinary Center - Newtown, Pennsylvania
Erika, veterinary assistant at Indian Walk Veterinary Center, recently celebrated her birthday with the team. She is known for her warm personality, great ideas, delicate patient care, and enthusiasm for learning. Her patients look forward to seeing her during their afternoon appointments.

Stonebridge Veterinary Hospital Stonebridge Veterinary Hospital - Rockwall, Texas
Getting a caffeine boost is always welcome at our hospitals and Stonebridge Veterinary Hospital is no different. The staff was treated to coffee to celebrate Valentine’s day. Maritza, CCS, and Makenzie, technician, show just how appreciative and excited everyone was with this generous treat.

Lucerne Veterinary Hospital Lucerne Veterinary Hospital - Dedham, Maine
Hugh de Lally (possibly a name in honor of the 80’s Robin Hood cartoon) is a svelt 7-pound bundle of love. Lucerne Veterinary Hospital captured his essence in this Valentine's Kissing Booth photo. There were so many patients who gladly posed for treats and toys in the booth this year. We can’t wait to see what the team will do for the next holiday!

There were so many boop-ortunities in our last blog—see all the adorable snoots!

Keep up with us on Facebook to see how our teams are making a difference in their communities every day.
