Across our hospitals, one truth is clear again and again that veterinary care is about far more than medicine. It’s about meeting patients, families, and communities exactly where they are with empathy, creativity, and unwavering heart. Whether inspiring the next generation, caring for animals with extraordinary needs, or celebrating resilience in all its forms, these stories reflect a shared commitment to compassion in action.

Clarksville Veterinary ClinicClarksville Veterinary Clinic - Clarksville, Virginia

Community impact begins long before the exam room, and Clarksville Veterinary Clinic demonstrated that firsthand by joining Cluster Springs Elementary School for Career Day. Team members enthusiastically introduced students to the world of veterinary medicine, sharing what it means to care for animals and serve a community through science, skill, and compassion. By sparking curiosity in young minds, the clinic helped plant seeds for future veterinarians and caregivers proving that education and inspiration are powerful forms of care.

Some patients redefine strength, and Domino is one of them. Born without eyes and facing a significant heart murmur, the six-week-old puppy has already captured hearts through his quiet resilience and unmistakable spirit. Supported by a Boulevard Animal Hospital team member who also runs a rescue for special-needs animals, Domino is learning to experience the world through sound, scent, and touch. At Boulevard Animal Hospital, his story reflects a deeply held belief that different doesn’t mean less and that every life deserves a chance to thrive.

Resilience was on full display when Sweet Skiff visited Springfield Animal Hospital for a liver chemistry recheck while continuing her fight against blastomycosis. Through every step of her recovery, the Springfield team has stood beside her, celebrating not just medical progress but the strength it takes to keep going. Skiff’s journey is a reminder that healing is as much about heart as it is about medicine.
