At our veterinary hospitals, care goes far beyond medicine, it’s about connection. Whether it's a lifelong companion coming in for a routine checkup or a rescued animal experiencing comfort for the first time, every patient is welcomed with compassion, empathy, and a team ready to meet them exactly where they are. Sometimes, best friends walk through our doors together. Other times, they’re made in the exam room, between a nervous pet and a gentle technician, or a recovering kitten and a foster parent with a big heart.
Bear Branch Animal Hospital - Magnolia, Texas
At Bear Branch, they know that great care starts with strong bonds, whether between longtime companions or new connections made in the clinic. As a large surgical office, they are able to treat many patients and offer advanced services like acupuncture and cold laser therapy. Another adorable duo that rolled into one of our hospitals? A pair of loving gerbils who came to see Dr. Tyler! Their mom, Kaitlyn, couldn’t have said it better: “Dr. Tyler was the best with our gerbils!” Whether it’s big dogs, tiny paws, or anything in between, Maple Hills Veterinary Hospital is always honored to care for best friends of all shapes and sizes. These little buddies remind us that friendship, and great care, comes in all forms.

When Maynard arrived for his very first vet visit, it was clear he needed a little extra comfort, and maybe even a best friend. That’s when veterinary assistant, Marisa, stepped in. With calm hands and a warm heart, she gently wrapped Maynard in a soft towel, a technique the team uses to help pets feel safe and secure. It wasn’t long before Maynard relaxed, snuggled up, and found a sense of calm in Marisa’s care. At Purrfect Care Feline Medical Center, every effort is made to ensure visits are as stress-free as possible, especially for first-timers like Maynard.
Linganore Veterinary Clinic, Inc. - New Market, Maryland
Freya came to Linganore Veterinary Clinic under heartbreaking circumstances, rescued by one of their veterinary assistants after suffering a severe jaw degloving injury. At just a few weeks old, Freya had already faced more than most kittens ever should. Thanks to the skilled hands of Dr. Milza, Freya underwent surgery to reattach the skin to her jaw. With expert care and a lot of love, she’s now on the road to recovery. One of their amazing clients stepped up to foster her, giving her that best friend energy and continuing her care at their home. Freya is already thriving! She’s gaining weight, adjusting beautifully, and being thoroughly spoiled, just as every kitten should be.
Sturbridge Veterinary Hospital - Sturbridge, Massachusetts
Even on a tough day, Maui knew he was in good hands. This handsome guy came in for a sick visit at Sturbridge Veterinary Hospital, but you wouldn’t know it by the way he soaked up every bit of love and attention from the team. From the moment he arrived, it was clear that Maui wasn’t just a patient—he was family, and every staff member was one of his best friends. Maui is back at home now, dreaming of his next visit with his besties.
