That's a Wrap: Closing Out 2020

December 29, 2020

It's been a long, strange year for everyone and, although we're looking forward to 2021 just as much as you are, we still want to take a moment to celebrate everything we’ve accomplished and overcome together over the past year.

Over the course of 2020, more than 20 VetCor employees were accepted into veterinary school and many of our practices were able to safely host veterinary students through our externship and summer job programs. We hired 54 recent graduates, introduced Headspace and Liberty Auto discounts as part of our benefits package, and created our TechLife program and our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team

We partnered with over 55 practices, entered Delaware and Tennessee for the first time, and surpassed 400 partner practices. On top of that, our employees helped expand our family by making over 150 full-time and over 80 part-time referrals, we celebrated 112 20-year employee anniversaries, and our ever-growing VetCor family welcomed over 40 new babies into the world.

As this year (finally) comes to a close, we'd like to extend a huge thank you to our practice teams. Without you, we wouldn't be where we are today - and we certainly wouldn't have made it through 2020 unscathed.

From making the transition to curbside care as seamless as possible and adding new skills to provide your patients with telehealth services to picking up shifts for team members who struggled with childcare and/or sick relatives and providing each other with motivation to persevere through the tough times, you've tackled every obstacle you've faced this year with positivity and grace. And for that, we thank you

Of course, we're grateful for the success and growth we've experienced this year, but it's the VetCor family that's at the top of our gratitude list. As we close this chapter and look ahead to 2021, we hope for better days and the continued health and happiness of all of our employees.
