Join the Main West Animal Hospital team in Welland, Ontario as our next associate veterinarian. We are proud of our practices culture that encourages learning on the job and supports our mission to deliver quality care to our amazing patients. Our staff sees small animals, including exotics, and is known for certain specialty surgeries. Our large seven doctor team is supported by an experienced staff. We work very closely with local humane societies including Golden Rescue, and Local Humane Societies.
A new grad or an experienced vet would be a good fit on our team as we are happy to mentor and support a new veterinarian, or to collaborate with a more experienced doctor. Our full-time veterinarian schedule is 4 weekdays with rotating Saturdays.
Welland is in the center of Niagara and is about 30 minutes from Niagara Falls. The city of Welland is split by the Welland River and Canal which connect Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. The area has three amazing parks that include rolling hills, playgrounds, memorials, pools, picnic areas, and trails. We are also close to Toronto as well as the US border. Fun fact: the co-inventor of the board game Trivial Pursuit, Chris Haney, was born in Welland.

I would highly recommend anyone to work for a Vetcor clinic because of all the available resources they offer to their employees! These resources vary from continuing education to the importance of mental health and not burning out. Stonebridge has been one of the best places I have worked and has done nothing but help me pursue my goal of becoming an LVT.
There are programs including VetLife Days and Lend-a-Hand that allow you to spend time at other clinics. I have met some wonderful colleagues this way and have also been able to expand my leadership skills within Vetcor. I actually learned that I love teaching and supporting other veterinarians, especially new graduates. I love soft tissue surgery, so to be able to pass on that knowledge and skill set to new grads, giving them the confidence and skills they need to excel, has been very rewarding. It has been an amazing journey with Vetcor so far and I am excited to continue to be part of this amazing group.
The mentorship and advice from the Vetcor Chief of Staff Advisors have helped me become a better veterinarian and surgeon. They have filled me with confidence in order to become a better leader. Vetcor has been a great corporation to work for.
There is a career path for everybody and not a one size fits all approach.
