About the Role

Want to join an amazing team at a well-loved community supported clinic with over a century of history? Rose City Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital with 4 full time DVMs providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care for dogs and cats. We are looking for a part time veterinarian to be part of our team. This opportunity would come with a schedule of 2-3 days per week and doing surgery is not a requirement.

We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house ultrasound and x-ray capabilities, surgical and therapeutic laser, practice fear free techniques, diverse staff and clientele, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking areas. Rose City Veterinary Hospital is Accredited through the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and practice fear free techniques. We are very proud of our diverse staff and clientele! Established veterinarians are encouraged to apply as well as new grads with work history & experience in veterinary clinics!

For the past one hundred years plus, Rose City Veterinary Hospital has upheld its mission to provide the highest quality medical care available to its patients. To this day, our staff remains committed to blending modern medicine with old fashioned love for each pet we see and we strive to offer not only sound advice, but optimal veterinary care, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years. Our job is not only to treat pets when they aren't feeling well, but also to help clients learn how to keep their best friend happy and healthy. We are proud to be Portland’s first veterinary hospital, growing with our community while staying true to what matters most to pet owners and Portlanders.
