Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic in Kalamazoo, MI is looking for a full-time or part-time veterinarian to join our growing practice. We are a busy, multi-doctor, full-service hospital that provides quality veterinary care for dogs and cats. Our doctors enjoy practicing in a recently remodeled facility that includes endoscopy, digital dental x-ray, and cold laser therapy. We look forward to another upcoming remodel of our already-lovely facility, which will offer separate entrances for feline and canine patients.
The experienced and long tenured team enjoys working together to meet the needs of our patients, clients, and community. Our doctors are well supported by our experienced technicians and assistants, and we are proud of our unusual but very effective staffing structure that allows our team to be efficient and offer quality care: Each day we have a dedicated triage tech who helps with follow up calls, manages lab work and refill requests, as well as referrals for the doctors. We have found that this really keeps our work days running smoothly, and clients love it! We proudly work with all area rescues; newly rescued animals will receive their first exam free.
This is an ideal opportunity for candidates interested in behavioral or internal medicine. New grads are also encouraged to apply as our collaborative team of doctors can provide mentorship and guidance through a wide range of experience and areas of interest.
Kalamazoo is the home of the Checkered Cab Company and Gibson guitars, as well as world-renowned Bell's Brewery. A true college town, Kalamazoo is home to three colleges, and with is comes an energetic cultural feel within the city. Many artists, poets, historians and writers make their home here, and the city has a vivid artist's population with many local events. We are also home to several international manufacturing plants, including Stryker and Pfizer -- makers of the new COVID-19 vaccination. We are also closely associated with Zoetis, which is located here, as well, and serve many of their doctors and animals. This bustling community is conveniently located one hour from Lake Michigan and two hours from both Chicago and Detroit. Kalamazoo is considered a "hot spot" for the arts, Broadway shows, and as a great scene for socializing and live entertainment.

I would highly recommend anyone to work for a Vetcor clinic because of all the available resources they offer to their employees! These resources vary from continuing education to the importance of mental health and not burning out. Stonebridge has been one of the best places I have worked and has done nothing but help me pursue my goal of becoming an LVT.
There are programs including VetLife Days and Lend-a-Hand that allow you to spend time at other clinics. I have met some wonderful colleagues this way and have also been able to expand my leadership skills within Vetcor. I actually learned that I love teaching and supporting other veterinarians, especially new graduates. I love soft tissue surgery, so to be able to pass on that knowledge and skill set to new grads, giving them the confidence and skills they need to excel, has been very rewarding. It has been an amazing journey with Vetcor so far and I am excited to continue to be part of this amazing group.
The mentorship and advice from the Vetcor Chief of Staff Advisors have helped me become a better veterinarian and surgeon. They have filled me with confidence in order to become a better leader. Vetcor has been a great corporation to work for.
There is a career path for everybody and not a one size fits all approach.
