Berrien Veterinary Services Joins VetCor

February 27, 2020

Berrien Veterinary Services is the newest addition to the VetCor family – bringing our total number of locations to 14 in the Great Lake State.

Originally founded in 1976, Berrien Veterinary Services was purchased in 1986 by Dr. Mark Johnson. This full-service animal hospital provides compassionate care to large and companion animals in the Baroda area.

A 1984 graduate of the University of Illinois, Dr. Johnson has a special interest in orthopedic work. He has extensive experience treating and performing surgery for large animal, equine, and companion animals.

He is joined by Drs. Danette Kiessel, Jolene Birney, and Stanton Garrett. Drs. Kiessel and Birney both graduated from Michigan University while Dr. Garrett earned his DVM degree from Purdue University.

The doctors are supported by a hardworking team of veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, kennel attendants, and receptionists.

Berrien Veterinary Services offers their clients a variety of services, ranging from wellness exams and vaccines to dentistry and surgery. Their mission is to provide high quality, progressive veterinary medicine, compassionate care, and quality customer service to their local community.

It’s our pleasure to have partnered with such a well-loved practice. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Johnson and his team, as well as the clients and patients at Berrien Veterinary Services, to the VetCor family!
