Attention veterinarians looking for a flexible work schedule with the opportunity to work and collaborate with several teams of doctors: We have a fantastic position for you!
VetCor is excited to offer a new opportunity for a full-time, experienced doctor to work within our clinics located in the south Chicago suburbs and occasionally northwest Indiana. You can enjoy the perks of relief work, including a diverse caseload, flexible schedule and working with a variety of friendly teams, alongside stable, salaried compensation, consistent weekly hour requirements, and outstanding benefits. Our teams in the Chicago suburbs are proud to work in modern and inviting facilities equipped with the tools necessary to offer quality care, including ultrasound, digital and dental x-rays, surgical laser and cool laser therapy, to name a few!
There is ample opportunity for a large surgical caseload for a doctor interested in surgeries, and interesting medical cases as well.
We are flexible about home location for this traveling relief doctor, as the practice locations that this doctor will support will vary based upon where the new hire lives, and will likely include our suburban practices in Glenwood, New Lenox, Matteson, South Holland and occasionally Hebron, IN.
Here at VetCor we value work/life balance, and emphasize emotional, physical and financial wellbeing, so if you join our team you could expect to work a consistent schedule of 40 hours/week.
You truly can have it all with this position, including a comprehensive benefits package, because the emotional and physical wellbeing of our employees is important to us. We offer competitive salary, medical benefits (including health, dental and vision), 401(k), employee assistance program (EAP), CE allowance, vacation, dues, liability coverage, mentorship and so much more.

I would highly recommend anyone to work for a Vetcor clinic because of all the available resources they offer to their employees! These resources vary from continuing education to the importance of mental health and not burning out. Stonebridge has been one of the best places I have worked and has done nothing but help me pursue my goal of becoming an LVT.
There are programs including VetLife Days and Lend-a-Hand that allow you to spend time at other clinics. I have met some wonderful colleagues this way and have also been able to expand my leadership skills within Vetcor. I actually learned that I love teaching and supporting other veterinarians, especially new graduates. I love soft tissue surgery, so to be able to pass on that knowledge and skill set to new grads, giving them the confidence and skills they need to excel, has been very rewarding. It has been an amazing journey with Vetcor so far and I am excited to continue to be part of this amazing group.
The mentorship and advice from the Vetcor Chief of Staff Advisors have helped me become a better veterinarian and surgeon. They have filled me with confidence in order to become a better leader. Vetcor has been a great corporation to work for.
There is a career path for everybody and not a one size fits all approach.
