Joleen A. Mihalic, DVM
Chief of Staff

As many of our loyal clients know, Dr. Mihalic, our Chief of Staff, has been practicing at Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital since 1998. She grew up throughout the South hills of Pittsburgh and continues to reside there. Dr. Mihalic received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina in 1993 and her DVM degree from the University of Tennessee in 1998.  She joined us here at shortly after graduating and it is thanks to her hard work and dedication that Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital is able to offer you and your pet both high quality medicine and excellent customer service.


Dr. Mihalic’s medical interests include ultrasound. She also appreciates establishing close relationships with her clients and their pets.  Dr. Mihalic’s interests outside of work include hiking, camping, reading Stephen King novels and Steelers Football! She also enjoys spending time with her friends, family and pets, which include a dog (Gyro) and a cat (Igmu) she got from an Indian reservation in South Dakota.

 


Sacha Snyder, VMD
Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Snyder has been part of Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital team since 2005.  A native of Pennsylvania, she grew up in Connellsville where she continues to reside. Dr. Snyder received her undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1995 and her VMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005.  Dr. Snyder joined us after graduating from veterinary school and we are so pleased she chose to practice at Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital!

 

Dr. Snyder’s medical interests include feline internal medicine and working together with her clients to provide a long lasting, healthy and enjoyable human-pet relationship. In her spare time she enjoys playing dancing and reading. She also likes to spend time with her friends and family. The furry members of her family include 3 cats and a dog.

 

 

Daniel V.A. Jones, DVM
Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Jones has been practicing with Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital since 2005.  He grew up in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, and currently resides in Pittsburgh.  He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in 1995 and his DVM from Iowa State University in 2000.  Since graduating from veterinary school Dr. Jones has worked at Northview Animal Hospital and our sister hospital, Hermitage Animal Hospital.

 

Dr. Jones’ medical interests include dentistry and dermatology and he truly believes in delivering the best possible care for his clients and their pets. Jones enjoys spending his leisure time with his friends, family and pets, including 3 cats.

 

 

Sean T. Kelly, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Kelly has been part of the Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital team since June of 2008.  A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he grew up in Brighton Heights and now resides in Mount Lebanon.  Dr. Kelly received his undergraduate degree from University of Findlay in Ohio and then went on to earn his DVM from The Ohio State University.  He enjoys establishing close relationships with his clients and their pets.

 

Dr. Kelly has special interests in behavior, soft tissue surgery, and orthopedics.  In his spare time he is a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.  He also enjoys reading as well as a range of outdoor activities such as golfing, snowboarding, and volleyball.  He also likes to spend time with his wife and Cardigan Welsh Corgi named Bantha who is Canine Good Citizen® certified, a therapy pet, and an Agility K9!

 

 

Jennifer K. Weaver, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Weaver is the newest addition to the Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital team, joining us in June 2009.  Hailing from Buffalo, New York, she now happily resides in Squirrel Hill, Pennsylvania.  She completed her undergraduate studies at Allegheny College and then pursued her veterinary studies at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, earning her DVM in May 2009.  She is very excited to begin her veterinary career and to give the best medical care possible to her clients and the cherished members of their family! 

   
Dr. Weaver has special interest in dermatology and soft tissue surgery.  In her spare time she enjoys bird watching, traveling, cooking, helping out at local animal shelters, and spending time with friends and family.  She also loves taking long walks with her husband and her adorable boxer named Jasmine.
