Veterinarians

Patricia Cairns, DVM
A general practitioner at Norwell Veterinary Hospital since 1998, Dr. Patricia Cairns is originally from Glasgow, Scotland. She completed her undergraduate education at C.W. Post College and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Chemistry in 1985. She continued her education at the Cornell University New York State College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. Her professional interests include internal medicine, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery and dermatology.

When she's not at the hospital, Dr. Cairns loves spending time outdoors and can usually be found hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming, camping and skiing in the winter. She and her husband, Darren Baker, a biochemist, have two children, Cameron and Jacqui. Their family also includes Colby, a black Lab, and two cats, Frogg and Cloudy.


Tracey Kelleher, DVM
A native of New York, Dr. Tracey Kelleher has cared for pets at Norwell Veterinary Hospital as a general practitioner since 1994. She attended Cornell University and received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 1983. Dr. Kelleher continued her veterinary education at the Cornell University New York State College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Her professional interests include dermatology and internal medicine.Dr. Kelleher is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Kelleher keeps busy outside the hospital with her husband, Jim and their two children, Maggie and Jamie. Her hobbies include skiing, gardening, pilates, yoga and reading, along with the ongoing improvements she and Jim make to their home. Dr. Kelleher's family also includes a cat named Doogie and two Labs, Georgie and Lilly.

Lisa A. Kimball, DVM
Dr. Lisa Kimball has cared for pets as a general practitioner at Norwell Veterinary Hospital since 2005. Hailing from New York, Dr. Kimball attended Binghamton University, and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology, with a concentration in Theatre, in 2001. She went on to attend the Cornell University New York State College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2005. Her professional interests include preventative medicine and surgery.

Outside of work, Dr. Kimball enjoys playing the guitar, singing, sailing, traveling and playing tennis. Dr. Kimball and her husband, Sam, also a veterinarian, share their home with a cat named Titania and two dogs, Patti and Wyatt.

Catherine Hartunian, DVM
Dr. Hartunian has been part of the Norwell Veterinary Hospital team since June 2009.  Growing up in Lexington, Massachusetts, she now happily resides in Cambridge.  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst in 2005 and undertook her veterinary studies at the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, earning her DVM in 2009.

Dr. Hartunian enjoys establishing close relationships with her clients and their pets.  Her medical interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and emergency/critical care.  Outside of work she enjoys running, fishing and reading.  She also loves spending time with her loveable dog Addie who was rescued from the Capital Area Humane Society in Ohio.

Dr. Bonacorsi is the newest addition to the Norwell Veterinary Hospital team, joining us in August 2010.  Growing up St. Louis Missouri, she has followed her family as they return to New England, now calling Boston, Massachusetts her home.  She received her undergraduate degree from Emory University in 2000 and then completed her veterinary studies at University of Missouri, earning her DVM in 2005.  Dr. Bonacorsi has four years of emergency/critical care experience in Baltimore, Maryland and has also completed an oncology internship, spent time as a surgeon for the Maryland SPCA and did some relief work while looking for the perfect practice to join.  We are so pleased she chose to join us here at Norwell Veterinary Hospital!

Dr. Bonacorsi has a special interest in preventative medicine, emergency and critical care, oncology and soft tissue surgery.  Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, backpacking, biking, running, swimming, yoga, cooking, independent movies, hanging out with friends and family, and knitting.  She also loves spending time with her two adorable cats – Birdie and her little brother Ace, both formerly barn cats.  Dr. Bonacorsi is very excited about her move to the Boston area and especially to meet all her new clients and patients!
