September 19, 2013, Gateway Animal Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio became the 99th veterinary hospital to partner with VetCor.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Brian Forsgren, Chief of Staff; along with associate veterinarians Drs. Liz Sobol, Michelle Wolford, Jennifer McClain, and Melissa Gugliotti; Practice Manager, Claudette Matero, MBA; Office Manager, Carol Miller; Facility Manager, Mike Hearn; and the rest of the dedicated support team at Gateway Animal Clinic to the VetCor family.
Dr. Forsgren is a 1977 graduate of The Ohio State University. From 1980 to 1999, he ran the Humane Society's "Willey Animal Clinic" in Cleveland, treating the vast number of patients with minimal resources. He then founded Gateway Animal Clinic in 1999.
Dr. Forsgren has gained significant notoriety for his contributions to the Cleveland community: as an advocate for inner city business and services; his rejuvenation of a beleaguered city property by the construction of a beautiful facility with handsome gardens and landscaping; and by operating the city's premier animal hospital.
The practice has a unique operating model serving clients on a walk-in basis, working in an open and collaborative exam area with up to 150 consults per day, maximizing available on-site surgical and other services, and providing patient care while working through a wide range of client financial conditions. Another one of Dr. Forsgren’s passions is the nonprofit he founded, Project Noah, which helps the community through rescue services, veterinary services to shelters, and other pet welfare support services. Dr. Forsgren, his team, and Gateway are exciting additions to our practice family.
Gateway Animal Clinic is our second Ohio practice, joining Bartels Pet Hospital in Brecksville.
