We are pleased to welcome our 101st partner practice, Apple Hill Animal Hospital, to the VetCor family.

Apple Hill Animal Hospital in Broadview Heights, OHApple Hill Animal Hospital, located in Broadview Heights, is our third Ohio practice. Dr. Robert Burge, Chief of Staff, along with Associate Veterinarians Drs. Julia Grossman and Rebecca Atwood, and Practice Manager Cheri Matushevski are all terrific additions to our group. We also welcome their dedicated support staff, and loyal patients and clients to the VetCor family.

Dr. Burge, who has been practicing veterinary medicine for 42 years, established Apple Hill Animal Hospital in 1976. The hospital outgrew its original location (now the adjacent grooming salon) and moved to its current building in 1992. A graduate of The Ohio State University, Dr. Burge's hobby is raising and showing poodles, which he has been doing for the past 30 years. His top priority remains teamwork and patient care.

Apple Hill Animal Hospital is well-equipped with an in-house lab, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and advanced surgical equipment. Dr. Grossman has a special interest in nutrition and acupuncture to compliment the traditional offerings available at the hospital. They also offer pet boarding.

Broadview Heights was originally occupied by the Chippewa Indians before being settled by Seth Paine, who was sent as a surveyor by Colonel John Breck in 1811. Colonel Breck's land included what is now known as Broadview Hieghts, Brecksville, and North Royalton. The Village of Broadview Heights became incorporated in 1927. Many descendants of the original pioneers still reside there today.

Apple Hill Animal Hospital, VetCor's third practice in the greater Cleveland area, joins Bartels Pet Hospital in Brecksville and Gateway Animal Clinic in Cleveland.
