Daniel J. Adams
Chief Executive Officer and President
Mr. Adams has been with VetCor since the company was founded in 1997, having previously served in the capacities of Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Development and as Finance Officer. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Adams was responsible for financial and operational analysis of new business projects within a private investment group, and also held a series of accounting and corporate finance positions at GTE Corporation. He holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an M.B.A. from Babson College.
Peter DeFeo
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Mr. DeFeo has been with VetCor since the company was founded in 1997. He has previously been corporate counsel for several privately-held companies in the energy and environmental fields. Prior to that, Mr. DeFeo was a senior associate in the Corporate Department of Goodwin Procter, a leading Boston law firm. He holds a B.A. from Tufts University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Greg M. Dynan
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Dynan joined VetCor in December of 2001. Prior to joining the company, he was responsible for the financial reporting of an international publicly traded software company. Mr. Dynan also has over five years of public accounting experience within diverse industries, servicing both privately held companies as well as those that report publicly to the SEC. He received a B.S.B.A from Merrimack College and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts.
Julie Bergeron, DVM
Regional Medical Leader
Dr. Bergeron has been New England Veterinary Clinic’s Chief of Staff since 2002.
She received both her undergraduate and DVM degrees from Washington State University. Since graduating from vet school in 1993, Dr. Bergeron has practiced at several hospitals in Massachusetts before joining us here. Dr. Bergeron’s interests within veterinary medicine include pocket pets and soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.
Gerald T. Ramsdell, DVM, DABVP
Regional Medical Leader
Dr. Ramsdell has been the Chief of Staff at North East Animal Hospital, in North East, PA, for over 16 years. He received his undergraduate degree from Gannon University, in Erie, Pennsylvania, in 1976 and his DVM from University of Georgia in 1988. After veterinary school Dr. Ramsdell spent two years at Ferdonia Animal Hospital before opening the North East Animal Hospital. Dr. Ramsdell is a Diplomate of the American Board Veterinary Practitioners. In addition to his certification, his medical interests include ultrasound and orthopedic surgery.
Christoper Rohwer, DVM
Regional Medical Leader
Dr. Rohwer has been the Chief of Staff at Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic, in Kalamazoo, MI, for over 16 years. He received both his undergraduate and DVM degrees from Michigan State University. After veterinary school Dr. Rohwer spent seven years practicing at a multi-doctor, mixed animal practice where he worked extensively with dairy herd health management. Dr. Rohwer’s medical interests include ophthalmology and orthopedic surgery.
James Agan
Regional Manager
Mr. Agan joined VetCor in 2004 as Regional Operations Manager, responsible for general management and oversight of a group of Company hospital locations. He came to VetCor with over 10 years of experience in the veterinary industry, most recently as the owner and operator of a canine training firm. Prior to entering the veterinary industry, Mr. Agan spent several years in the insurance industry as a senior premium auditor for Travelers Insurance. He holds a B.S.B.A. from American International College.
Brian Kimla
Regional Manager
Mr. Kimla joined VetCor in 2006 as Regional Operations Manager, responsible for general management and oversight of a group of Company hospital locations. He came to VetCor with over 20 years of service industry experience gained through various sales, operations and management positions with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, most recently as the Regional Vice President for its Massachusetts locations. Mr. Kimla holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Tracy Emara
Regional Manager
Ms. Emara joined VetCor in 2005 as the Hospital Manager of Crofton Veterinary Center in Crofton, MD. In 2008 she was appointed Regional Trainer, and in 2009 was promoted to Regional Manager, responsible for general management and oversight of our Maryland hospital locations. Ms. Emara joined VetCor with over 8 years of veterinary industry experience and 3 years of sales experience. She holds a B.S. from Mount St Mary’s College.
Daniel Melody
Training and Development Manager
Mr. Melody joined VetCor in 2003 and was initially responsible for management of the Midwest hospital region. He then relocated to the Company’s headquarters in 2006 to establish a central position to design and implement training, recruiting, and business development programs. He is also responsible for the initial integration of acquired hospitals. Mr. Melody joined VetCor with over 15 years experience in the veterinary industry, having held technician and practice management positions within small animal and specialty practices, as well as a series of field training and management positions within the Banfield organization.
Diana Byrne
Marketing and Communications Manager
Ms. Byrne joined VetCor in 2006 as the Company’s first professional to design and implement internal and external marketing programs. Since that time her role has expanded to include formal communications programs with veterinary schools and national and state veterinary medical associations to increase VetCor recruiting and acquisition capabilities. Ms. Byrne was previously an archaeologist in Ireland before gaining 6 years experience in the veterinary profession, including a position as hospital manager within Healthy Pet Corporation, and then obtaining an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
Wendy Koelsch
Regulatory Safety & Insurance Manager and Corporate Counsel
Ms. Koelsch has been with VetCor since the company was founded in 1997. She has previously been assistant corporate counsel for several privately-held companies in the energy and environmental fields. Prior to that, Ms. Koelsch was an associate in general practice law firms in Massachusetts and New York. She holds a B.A. from Binghamton University and a J.D. from St. Johns Law School.
