Our ever-growing 11-doctor practice is looking for exceptional staff to help grow our PetVet Ohana! We seek an outstanding and responsible individual to join our team as a full-time Veterinary Technician or Assistant. Our ideal candidate must be outgoing, friendly, and ready to greet our clients and patients with a warm smile and plenty of Aloha! We have a culture of continuous learning and growth, and you must desire to learn and contribute to the highest level of medicine and patient care. We are a family-oriented, full-service, multi-doctor small animal hospital striving to create an upbeat, enthusiastic working environment that is client/patient-focused.

 

Overall Qualifications:

Applicants must enjoy working with clients and pets, have a friendly and easygoing demeanor, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills. Individuals should be team-oriented, have a strong work ethic, initiative, sense of responsibility, and desire to excel. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding care to all our patients, so you should enjoy educating clients and helping them take exceptional care of their pet(s). Equally important is the ability to work within and contribute to maintaining our fast-paced, upbeat, and fun work environment; we also desire to develop a long-term, vested interest in contributing to the growth and well-being of our organization. Individuals with previous experience in a veterinary clinic, daycare, or similar program are HIGHLY desired, but candidates with the appropriate attitude, ability to learn quickly, and desire to excel will be considered. The ideal candidate would be flexible in their schedule, including evenings and weekends. Reliability and dependability are a must.

 

TechnicianJob Summary:

The veterinary technician assists the veterinarians to the fullest extent to help improve the quality of care given to the patients and aid the DVMs in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of technical tasks. They assist in multiple procedures, providing patient care, including physical examinations, dental procedures, immunizations, euthanasia, client education, marketing, and inventory maintenance. Veterinary technicians must effectively interface with clients, veterinarians, front office staff, and other technical support staff members. The position requires strong technical and animal handling skills and organizational and communication skills.
