Our team is made up of both tenured and new staff, including new leadership, and we are proud to serve the cats, dogs, exotics, and pocket pets in the Charleston area. We enjoy working alongside a community that values high quality veterinary care. We partner with Charleston Animal Society, Pet Helpers, and many other independent rescues.
Our facility is in the process of going through a facelift and is a welcoming space for our employees, clients, and patients. We provide many services including digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, and echocardiography. We currently have a 2:1 staff to doctor ratio.
This is an ideal opportunity for experienced vets, especially those with an interest or background in exotic medicine. We prioritize work-life balance, and look to be flexible with scheduling whenever possible. Our full-time vet schedule is 4 days during the week, with no on-call or after hours requirements.
Charleston has so much to offer from historic charm and beaches to walkable world class dining and outdoor activities. Our office is even within walking distance to local theaters and the College of Charleston. The area hosts the Spoleto festival, Food and Wine Festival, and Southeastern Wildlife Festival. Charleston also has consistently earned top marks for good schools and highly educated teachers and administrators. It really has something for everyone!
We offer competitive salary, medical benefits (including health, dental and vision), 401(k), employee assistance program (EAP), CE allowance, vacation, dues, liability coverage, mentorship and so much more.
I would highly recommend anyone to work for a Vetcor clinic because of all the available resources they offer to their employees! These resources vary from continuing education to the importance of mental health and not burning out. Stonebridge has been one of the best places I have worked and has done nothing but help me pursue my goal of becoming an LVT.
There are programs including VetLife Days and Lend-a-Hand that allow you to spend time at other clinics. I have met some wonderful colleagues this way and have also been able to expand my leadership skills within Vetcor. I actually learned that I love teaching and supporting other veterinarians, especially new graduates. I love soft tissue surgery, so to be able to pass on that knowledge and skill set to new grads, giving them the confidence and skills they need to excel, has been very rewarding. It has been an amazing journey with Vetcor so far and I am excited to continue to be part of this amazing group.
The mentorship and advice from the Vetcor Chief of Staff Advisors have helped me become a better veterinarian and surgeon. They have filled me with confidence in order to become a better leader. Vetcor has been a great corporation to work for.
There is a career path for everybody and not a one size fits all approach.
