VetCor is a leading network of 195 veterinary practices in 22 states.  Our practice acquisition team is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead our expansion efforts in New England and New York.  This individual will report to our SVP Acquisitions and be centrally based within the territory, in Connecticut or Rhode Island. 

Success measures will include contact and visit volume, feedback from prospects, completed acquisition volume, and overall contribution to promoting our reputation and visibility in the region.  VetCor offers attractive performance-based compensation, comprehensive benefits, and future growth opportunities.  

The Business Development Manager will be responsible to:

  • Develop and manage contacts with practice owners, including initial introduction of the company, understanding of practice owner goals and interests, and periodic update and relationship development
  • Outline our valuation process and offers structure and terms
  • Assist the acquisition process, including financial and operating diligence, compensation and benefits mapping, staff introductions, and operating Q&A 
  • Utilize and maintain our Salesforce database for communication history and practice profiles
  • Network and exhibit at regional events and meetings 
  • Maintain continuing relationships with practice sellers to ensure satisfaction and goal attainment from the sale process, and communicate related impressions to management

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented and expertly organized work style
  • Ability to quickly and favorably distinguish our unique operating model vs. competitors  
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years related experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50% 
  • Veterinary industry or healthcare multi-site experience is ideal, but not required
